Synopsis

Saya Kisaragi is an overly clumsy teenage girl as well as a kind student at Sanbara Academy; when not in school she spends time with her friends at a local cafe. She lives with her father, Tadayoshi Kisaragi within a shrine called Ukishima Shrine, in a quiet and oddly almost deserted village. At night, she protects her village by hunting and killing things known as the Old Ones. Possessing supernatural abilities, the Old Ones prey on humans, and only Saya has the ability to defeat them. When she is faced with various forms of 'trials' that test her kindness, it brings misfortune for being 'overly-kind'. Against adversity and for the sake of her friends, she maintains her kind heart and wishes to become stronger. Why is she being tested? And what path will Saya’s life take in a place where not everything or everyone is as they seem?
