Synopsis

VShojo was a US-based VTuber agency headquartered in San Francisco. The company was founded in 2020 by former Twitch employee Justin "theGunrun" Ignacio and YouTuber Phillip "Mowtendoo" Fortunat, with the vision of creating an organization where the talent have complete freedom. Its goals were to provide members with in-house tech, legal, PR, sponsors, upgrades, opportunities, social media expansion and a positive environment. Unlike the major Japanese agencies who typically only debut original characters, VShojo often recruited existing independent VTubers. VShojo members primarily streamed on Twitch and reserve their YouTube channels for highlight clips and edited content. However, a few talents did livestream or multistream on YouTube as well. As of April 2025, the organization had 17 members with a combined 6.4 million followers on Twitch and a combined 7.5 million subscribers on YouTube. In July 2025, the company faced accusations of failure to pay talents for several months, as well as witholding over $500,000 in charity donations collecting during an Ironmouse subathon. Within three days, all of the group's members shortly resigned, and founder Gunrun announced VShojo's shutdown.
