Akafuyu

Akafuyu is the illegitimate daughter of a Higashinese Aegir noble from one of the Eight Great Clans, possibly the Nishigori Clan. She was raised in a shrine until an elderly family member took her in. There, she spent her years up to adulthood honing her swordsmanship and leadership. Eventually, she became a samurai under the service of her aunt, a Mitsumoto general of the south who defected to the Kougon of the north.
