Akari Mizunashi

Akari Mizunashi is one of the main protagonists of AQUA and ARIA. She is a native from Japan on Manhome who immigrated to Aqua when she was fifteen in hopes of becoming an Undine. Akari is a teenage girl of average height with green eyes. Her pink hair is cut short at the back with two long ponytails on the sides of her head held together by yellow clasps. She wears the undine uniform in Aria Company's primary colours of white and blue. In accordance with the company her hat is of a round shape and sits on the back of her head decorated with the Aria logo and a ribbon. In addition her boots are rounded and lined with yellow. Depending on the season she switches between the summer and winter uniforms, as is custom with all undines. The summer outfit consists of a cropped short sleeve blouse and a strapped under dress, with a slit for mobility, that reaches her ankles which has three distinct blue lines along the hem. Where as the winter outfit switches the blouse with a thicker cape styled top that reaches her lower back. In addition the dress is changed for one with longer sleeves to protect against the cold and paired with grey tights. After the time skip between Origination and Avvenire, as a young adult, her hair is much longer and her ponytails, still in clasps, are looped up towards the back of her head where they meet the main body of her hair which is tied in a ponytail that reaches her thighs. Akari is a hard worker who trains daily with her friends, Aika & Alice, but also enjoys her work. While not noted for any outstanding feature, Akari has a warm presence that can win anyone over. She has an uncanny ability to make friends, and becomes well known throughout Neo-Venezia simply by talking to people and getting to know them. Like her mentor Alicia, Akari has an appreciation and enjoyment for all things in life. Even mundane experiences can be a source of wonder to Akari. This makes her seem spaced out since she's often found with a dreamy expression and distracted easily. Aika often scolds her for not paying attention.
