Alear is the main protagonist in Fire Emblem Engage. As an Avatar, their gender, along with their name and birthday, is determined by the player. Alear's memory is hazy due to having amnesia, but retains a spirit of positivity and courteousness. When Alfred is on wake-up duty, he describes them as a deep sleeper. Polite as one can expect of a Divine Dragon, Alear warmly greets and interacts with the members of their army and the people of Elyos.
