Amidamaru is a 600-year-old samurai who serves Asakura Yoh as his Guardian Ghost. Amidamaru's numerous killings earned him a bad reputation which was carried all the way to the present time. Amidamaru was training to be a samurai when he was young in order to drive away bandits to protect the orphans he was living with.
