Arashi

The 16th of the Kagerou-class destroyers, Arashi had a fine service record for the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. Early in the war, she was able to sink a World War I gunboat, the USS Asheville. However, she is better known for single-handily changing the course of the Pacific War. During the Battle of Midway, Arashi was separated from the main carrier strike fleet while on anti-submarine duties.
