Asuka

Asuka, a female swordsman, stops at a farming village (Juryoru no Sato) in a country rich in nature called Tenrinokuni on her journey. There she finds Koppa, a weasel who tells stories. Asuka and Koppa are taken care of in the village, and Asuka learns of an incident in which poison is flowing into the river that flows through the village every night. They also encounter a Kouga Shinobi who had been protecting the villagers until then, attacking them.
