Ayumi Hoshino

The real mother of Ai Hoshino whom she raised as a single mother. When Ai was 8 or 9, Ayumi's began to believe that her boyfriend, whom she had prospects of marrying, had begun to become attracted to Ai. In jealousy, Ayumi began to abuse Ai until she was eventually arrested for petty theft, resulting in Ai being sent to an orphanage. After being released from jail, she never picked up Ai from the orphanage. Aqua Hoshino later tracks her down and confronts her about her and Ai's past.
