Barde is an intelligent, arrogant, manipulator and liar. He, often, takes advantage of those in need. Barde views humans and demons as tools for his research. He is driven by insane curiosity, wishing to open a gate between worlds simply because he wishes to know what would happen, regardless of the high possibility of the world ending. He had manipulated both Otonashi Miki and Otonashi Eiichi, and turned them into servants without free will, exploiting the desires to save the other one.
