Chisato Shirasagi

Shirasagi Chisato is a first-year student at Yotsuba Women's University, as well as the bassist of Pastel*Palettes. She is polite and very responsible. In her youth, she was a famous child actress, and prior to joining Pastel*Palettes, did not know how to play the bass. She initially thought that Pastel*Palettes was not going to last for very long and was ready to leave them after their failure; however, thanks to Aya's hard work and stubbornness, she decided to stay in the band. Outside of the band, she is also friends with Kanon and Kaoru; the former she met in middle school and is currently roommates with, and the latter she met in her childhood through their parents. Chisato is a girl of slightly below average height. She has long, platinum blonde hair nearly surpassing her chest with her thick, layered bangs split into three portions framing her face. Thin sections of hair is worn beneath her ears and on her shoulders, while her forelocks are pulled back. When performing her loose hair is normally pulled back and held by a white ribbon or other accessories. She has big, droopy violet eyes. Her casual attire is shown to be very feminine with flowers, sheer fabric, and ribbons. Chisato is normally very mature, polite, and friendly, and gets along with others fairly well. However, she also has a surprisingly blunt side to her personality, and can sometimes come across as cold or condescending. This personality is not always provoked, though she tends to be more blunt when she is annoyed or around Kaoru, as she does not appreciate Kaoru's dramatic personality. She also tends to show this side when people insult her band members or say Pastel*Palettes wouldn't be as good as it is without Chisato. Chisato has also admitted to being a person who dislikes being controlled by others. As she has been in the entertainment industry for a long time, Chisato is quite a realist and initially disliked Aya's idealistic view of it. She is also slightly embarrassed when people bring up her past and previous works as a child actress, as shown in one of the 1-panel comics where Eve told her she'd watched one of the dramas child Chisato had starred in, as well as the event A Tale of the Pure-Hearted Samurai*Idol. Although Chisato is confident in her skills, she also dislikes it when people assume that she can do anything. In the past, particularly in elementary school, Chisato used to be more forward with her emotions. It is shown that before she decided to close her emotions off, she broke down after Kaoru complimented her for being a strong person, confessing that she was afraid of coming to school the day after the episodes aired, not being able to predict how her classmates would react to her, whether they would compliment and call her cool, or whether they would call her scary and avoid her. She was especially scared that the producers had told her she should bottle her feelings and never cry, which she then concluded would eventually lead to her forgetting what it feels like to be sad. Afterwards, Chisato then slowly started shaping into the person she is today, saying that as long everyone she cares about knows what Chisato's true self is like, she won't have to worry what everyone else thinks of the actress Shirasagi Chisato.
