Chizuru Kagura

Chizuru Kagura, real name Chizuru Yata, is a serious, dutiful young woman who makes several appearances in the King of Fighters game series. She appeared first as a sub boss in KOF '96, revealing she was the sponsor of that year's tournament. She was playable in KOF '98 and a hidden sub boss in KOF 2003. Her latest appearance is in KOF XV, tournament she entered alongside Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami, forming the Three Sacred Treasures team. The 3 of them have a shared duty regarding the seal of Orochi, Chizuru being the guardian after her sister Maki died protecting the seal. Chizuru's fighting style, the Kagura style of Ancient Martial Arts, involves swift moves inspired by traditional Japanese dancing, which, combined to her ability conferred by the Yata mirror to generate copies of herself, allows for a good range of attacks on top of confusing the opponent and potentially keeping herself out of reach. Chizuru is a well mannered individual with a passion for dancing and motorcycle racing. She's also a businesswoman, owner of Kagura enterprises. She seems to be good friends with Mai Shiranui and King, her teammates in the Kof 98 tournament. Her relationship with Kyo and Iori often has her be the voice of reason and the mediator of the group since the other two have a long history of fierce rivalry. She successfully manages to make them cooperate on several occasions, when fighting against Orochi in the climax of KOF 97 or in a KOF XIV ending, going so far as to convince them to team up in KOF XV.
