Colonel Husbando

The Colonel is a cynical and cold-hearted man. He is willing to make sacrifices to carry out his missions, and has long since been desensitized to the atrocities of war. Despite his role as a leader of the Peacebuilding Forces' special forces and the ultimate goal to save humanity, he doesn't do much himself to help the people who are suffering from the war against Artemis, such as those living in the mountain town with very little supplies of their own, and he even tactlessly disregards Norito's plea to Empress to help them. The Colonel only relents to help others when Empress has her mind set on doing so. He sometimes lets the fiery side of him slip. The Colonel is the special forces leader of the Peacebuilding Forces fighting back against the rule of Artemis. He was on the lookout for Empress as part of the pivotal point of a counter-offensive operation. He has a history with the Education Institution cult. It is later revealed by Bolt that the Colonel lost his wife and daughter Charlotte to the Education Institution. Unbeknownst to him, however, his daughter was not murdered, but modified to become a pseudo-Hemiteos Unit. This revelation shocks him when she attacks Empress and the escort convoy as they head towards the Orbital Elevator. The Colonel pleads Empress to stop as Empress fires her Coilgun on Charlotte, which destroys Charlotte's weapon and causes her to flee. After the battle, Monica and Empress assure the Colonel that Charlotte will come back again, and Empress will capture her alive when the time comes.
