Czar, known in Japan as Yuri Edogawa「江戸川遊離」(Edogawa Yūri) is the top Duelist in North Academy until Chazz Princeton defeats and dethrones him, which earns Chazz the right to compete in the School Duel against Duel Academy. Czar is usually seen in a rocking chair when not dueling, with Chazz calling him "Grandma" for this in the English dub.
