Dark Sakura is an alternate version of the Fate series recurring character Sakura Matou, serving as the secondary antagonist of Fate/Unlimited Blade Works. Dark Sakura is a a bloodthirsty and malicious version of Sakura triggered by murdering her brother Shinji Matou, which was one of the many traumatic events inflicted on her by Kotomine Kirei and Zouken Matou. Sakura was driven to the breaking point knowing she was a burden and a ticking time bomb as well. Sakura succumbed to the darkness growing inside her spirit and became dark Sakura. Sakura Matou already being powerful, Dark Sakura easily becomes one of the most powerful beings in the Nausverse. She creates the manifestation of all the worlds Evil Angra Mainyu, and converts it into raw magecraft. Dark Sakura has infinite mana, ability to uses curses, access to imaginary space, increased speed, increased mana output, increased output power and strength, increased awareness and reaction time, and ability to create familiars of equal strength of servants. Dark Sakura also wields the the ability to control grail mud. Grail mud is a powerful and malevolent mud like substance that corrupts any life it touches, servants such as Artoria Pendragon and the 'Alter' servants were consumed and corrupted by it. Few with powerful egos have been able to withstand Dark Sakura's mud. Dark Sakura's appearance is similar to that of her original form, but her hair becomes white, she dons a black dress aligned with red stripes that appear on many corrupted servants, and her eyes become red as well. Her end of her dress is composed of ribbons with uneven lengths. Her personality changes along with her appearance, as opposed to her sweet and loving demeanor, she becomes obsessive, soulless, malevolent, and apathetic. She doesn't care about the thousands of lives she ended with the grail mud. The mental pollution from the mud she was controlling made it more difficult for her to break from the chains holding her mind captive.
