Dreamcast (ドリームキャスト) is the moe personification of the titular Sega Dreamcast video game console. Dreamcast's earliest appearance online was on an Anime News Network article from September 8, 2012, which featured a t-shirt and her illustration by KEI, Hatsune Miku's designer. The t-shirt was the first in the "Historical Sega Hardware Girls Project" (歴代セガハード女の子計画, Rekidai Sega Haado Onna no Ko Keikaku) series, sold early in Tokyo Game Show on September 20-23, and the Cospa online store for for 3,045 yen (about US$39). She appeared again in the Samurai & Dragons "Segakko 13 ~Yume Kanaeshi Mono" event, and subsequently Sega Hard Girls light novel series, which is a collaboration between Sega and Dengeki Bunko Magazine. Dreamcast, along with Mega Drive, Sega Saturn, and other characters made their first anime appearance in Hi-sCoool! SeHa Girls, an anime series by TMS Entertainment, airing from October 8 to December 24 in 2014. She is voiced by Mao Ichimichi, also known as M・A・O. Dreamcast is a honest, cheerful girl who gets along with everyone, and has a strong sense of justice. However, she can be easily teased due to her expressiveness, which tends to change from one moment to the next. Although unaware of it, her poverty has become a part of her personality, and people around her sometimes feel sorry for her.
