Ellen Vankrieft

The protagonist of the story; she was born part human and part spirit. Ellen is able to materialize anything she wishes due to perfectly remembering the periodic table; creating precious metals and causing explosions at will. She cannot be around anyone of the royal family as their bloodline is unwillingly carrying the misery of Spirits their ancestors murdered in a harebrained attempt to force Spirits to make contracts.
