En'en is a recurring character in The Apothecary Diaries. She has been the lady-in-waiting of Yao ever since she was 10 years old. She recently became an assistant physician who serves in the Outer Court along with her mistress and Maomao. En'en's personality is somewhat similar to Maomao's, being smart, sarcastic and quiet.
