Flynn Husbando

Flynn is the main protagonist of Shin Megami Tensei IV, and is aligned with Neutral. Born in the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado, Flynn and his friend Issachar are both summoned to the capital to perform in the Samurai Rite involving the activation of a Samurai's Gauntlet, which in reality is a COMP owned by the former Counter Demon Forces from Tokyo. Flynn is successfully chosen as a Samurai, while Issachar fails the Rite. Flynn then meets his fellow Samurai recruits Walter, Jonathan, Isabeau, and Navarre. After a regiment of training, a town on the outskirts of the Kingdom is attacked by demons, which Flynn's friend Issachar is caught up in, forcing Flynn to kill him due to his demonic possession. The rest of the Samurai intervene, which then leads the Samurai to conduct reconnaissance on the "Unclean Ones' World", which in reality is post-apocalyptic Tokyo in 2038, 25 years after a demonic invasion named "The Conception" causes a total nuclear cataclysm across the world. After dealing with the two major factions that have a stranglehold on this remnant of Tokyo, the Ashura-Kai and the Ring of Gaea, the four Samurai who defeated both, Flynn, Walter, Jonathan, and Isabeau, are forced to confront their beliefs and ideals for a new Tokyo now that the people are helplessly astray with noone left to guide them. Walter believes might makes right, and that the strong should be able to survive in this world, aligning him with Chaos. Jonathan on the other hand casts aside his own ideals and agrees with the archangels to annihilate Tokyo to ensure the safety of the Kingdom of Mikado, and merges with the four archangels to become the Chariot of God Merkabah, aligning him with Law. Flynn can ally himself with either Walter or Jonathan, but the canon ending involves him allying himself with Isabeau, who wants humanity to carve its own path free of the gods' influence, placing her in Neutral. Isabeau and Flynn defeat Lucifer and Merkabah, and they receive the Sword of Masakado, which was used 25 years ago to seal Tokyo in a dome preventing the world stockpile of ICBMs to destroy it along with the rest of the world. With its power, after evacuating Mikado itself, Flynn destroys the dome surrounding Tokyo, and with it Mikado, and with the people of Mikado and Tokyo united in the end, he leads Tokyo to a better tomorrow in the light of the sun. Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse introduces a twist where the Divine Powers/Polytheistic Alliance were actually lying in wait, and after Nanashi and Asahi, the two main protagonists of that game, accidentally release them, leading the Divine Powers to capture Flynn, and impersonate him when the Hunters and Samurai try to rescue him. Eventually the real Flynn is saved, but his ultimate fate is determined by whether Nanashi allies himself with his bonds, or decides to massacre everyone and create a new world. If Nanashi does the former, then they all defeat Dagda and create a new version of him without malice, then they enter YHVH's dimension, where Lucifer and Merkabah merge and become the loyal judge, jury, and executioner himself Satan. After defeating Satan they end up fighting YHVH himself, using their observation to dethrone YHVH and kill him once and for all. If Nanashi decides to cast aside his bonds and create a new world, then he massacres all of his friends, including Flynn, and starts killing all of the Hunters and Samurai in Tokyo. Flynn is brought back as a puppet by Dagda, and the three of them enter YHVH's dimension, and massacre both Satan and YHVH, with Nanashi finally hatching the Cosmic Egg used to recreate the world in his own image, with Flynn still stuck as a guard dog for him.
