Gyokuyou

Gyokuyou is a recurring character of the The Apothecary Diaries. She is a member of the You Clan, one of the Emperor of Li's favored High Consorts, the mother of Princess Lingli, and the first master Maomao served. At the start of the series, Gyokuyou held the title of the Precious Consort ("The Honored Consort" in Square Enix translation) from the Jade Pavilion. In the new year, she became the Empress Consort after giving birth to the Crown Prince.
