Haku-u

Haku-u (白羽ハクウ, Hakuu?) is a lady-in-waiting at the Jade Pavilion and a minor character in The Apothecary Diaries. She joined Gyokuyou prior to the Crown Prince's birth. She aids in cleaning and cooking duties, along with the other ladies-in-waiting. The eldest of three nearly identical sisters, Haku-u wears a white ribbon in her hair to differentiate her from Koku-u (black ribbon) and Seki-u (red ribbon). Maomao describes the sisters as having almond-shaped eyes and charcoal-drawn eyebrows. Haku-u is protective of Gyokuyou and greatly cares about her well-being. She distrusts anyone who tries to take advantage of Gyokuyou, including Gyoku-ou.
