Hakuren/ Shirohana Renne Kihaku

Hakuren is a character in the Tenchi Muyo! OVA continuity, mainly appearing in Tenchi Muyo! GXP, featuring much more prominently in the novels. She, along with her partners, Gyokuren, Karen, & Suiren, eventually becomes a wife of Seina Yamada. Hakuren is the first princess of the Kihaku Kingdom in the Renza Federation. Her real name is Lady Shirohana Renne Kihaku. She, along with her Renza partners, becomes a Lady-in-waiting to Lady Seto. This was initially part of a plan to steal secrets, possibly a Juraian Royal Treeship, so they could gain enough power to battle the pirates in their home territory. Hakuren is the 'heart' and leader of the group. The plan to gather the girls from the different Renza factions and band together to find a way to defeat the pirates seems to be completely her idea. Her initial plan was to steal a Royal Tree Ship, a plan they realized could take hundred's of years to accomplish. Her bio-enhancement is 6 but she is a coward in battle. Her enhancements have been specialized for thought acceleration in order to be an effective tactician and she can usually come up with an optimal solution to any question asked. A drawback is that she can get stuck in a thought loop that is usually solved by Karen smacking her on the back of the head. This happens when faced with an illogical question, when in lots of stress or exhausted. If not brought out of it she will usually come up with a solution but one only she can understand.
