Hī-sama

Hī-sama is the wise woman in Princess Mononoke, a film directed by Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli. She was voiced by Mitsuko Mori in the Japanese version and Debi Derryberry in the English version. She is the elder and shaman of the Emishi Village. She is first seen after Nago's attack. She carries hot water in a jar, which Kaya pours on Ashitaka's arm. Then she bows to Nago and she pleads to him not to pour his anger on the village.
