Hinako Yaotose

Yaotose Hinako is the main protagonist of the This Monster Wants to Eat Me series. She is a high school student who, following a car accident occurring when she was six that resulted in the loss of her family, has yearned to die. Hinako is a teenage girl with neck-length, wavy, tawny hair and yellow-brown eyes. She has large scars on her right shoulder from a car accident, which she tends to keep hidden with long-sleeved clothing. The school gives her permission to continue wearing long-sleeved clothing regardless of the season due to these circumstances.

After the death of her parents and older brother, Hinako developed a trauma and a deep desire to die.
