Jeane is a mysterious rune mistress and shop keeper who has appeared in each of the five main games of the Suikoden series as the Chiketsu Star, also known as the Star of Noble Wisdom, one of the 108 Stars of Destiny. While the series has spanned over centuries in-game, she appears to not have aged. Many recurring characters, including Viki, Nash, and Futch, seem to believe she is the same person; Nash notes that she "never seems to change". In Suikoden V, Genoh perceives her to be of great age, but is confused by her youthful appearance. Also of note in Suikoden III, if the player controls Koroku and talks to her, she asks him to keep how he 'sees' her a secret, implying that her true form may not be human.
