Jofuku Husbando

Jofuku was a well-known explorer that was formerly in service to the ruler of the Qin Dynasty to seek out the Elixir of Life. His voyage soon came to an end after making landfall on an island and deciding to invest his time in unlocking the secrets to immortality by following the principles of Taoism. While alive, Jofuku was a man with black hair that he had kept tied into a bun and sported a beard and a moustache. As for his attire, Jofuku wore a simple black robe that was held together by a white obi. Due to living for centuries, Jofuku became very frail in his old age, developed deep wrinkles, his hair turned white, his beard grew in length, and required a cane to move about. After Rien encased his corpse in gold, Jofuku's was dressed with Taoist robes, adorned with three beads (the first reaching down to his chest, the second reaching to his stomach, and the third reaching all the way down to his torso), and a crown on his head. Jofuku was a man dedicated to his research, along with being extremely loyal to the Qin Emperor, having spent years in trying to create an elixir of immortality for him and built Hōrai for when the time came to welcome him to the island after his task was complete. He was also a loving husband to his wife Rien.
