JP Husbando

JP, nicknamed Sweet JP, is the protagonist of Redline. While his blood type, height, weight, etc. are unknown it is revealed he is 28 years old, same as Frisbee. He drives a heavily-customized Trans Am 20000 WR. He is Childhood friends with his junk dealer Frisbee. He was made eligible for the 8th Redline despite not qualifying in Planet Dorothy's Yellowline due to other racers dropping out; this allowed him to be voted into the empty slot by way of a viewer popularity poll. He is known to be a pacifist even though he does try to be the "Tough Guy" in some scenes and doesn't like to fight though he does suffer from extreme arrogance and overconfidence usually resulting in him hurting himself through accidents or being assaulted by other characters within the film. As a child, JP was hated a lot by most people but he never lets it get to him and is considered to be somewhat of a "Man child" as one of his primary goals in the film is to find ways to entertain himself and is very easily excited. JP's secondary conflict in the film is paying off his bail with the Inuki gang and in the past when he failed to do so he was sent to prison. He is worried after his Junk dealer Frisbee as he has done everything he can to make sure JP can race and was willing to go to prison to save him in the past. JP's skills are mostly limited to driving as his team Frisbee and Old Man Hole take care of his racing vehicle the Trans Am. His appearance is inspired by the typical "Greaser" while sporting an Elvis Presley style Pompadour and his signature Duck Tail spoiler on his Trans Am. It is further supported that he is meant to be a "Greaser" as his main vehicle is named and modeled after an American muscle car and his constant worry about his hair as he is seen combing it various times in the film along with him sporting a Harley style hoverbike. He seems to also try to draw attention by sporting bright colored vehicles along with his overall appearance.
