Karin Yuuki

Karin Yuuki, former name Judas Iscariot and nicknamed Isht Karin Orte, is also known as the "Saintess of Steel". She is an immortal and a member of UQ Holder, numbered 4. Karin has short black hair and black eyes. When on missions, she wears a school uniform, but when seen outside of battle, she wears a maid outfit. She has a developed, toned body and has a tattoo in the back with the roman numeral "XIII" under a star in between what appears to be wings. Karin is usually seen with a long hammer and a sword placed horizontally across her lower back. Karin has proven to be somewhat hard to read, always keeping up a poker face wherever she goes or whoever she meets. She, however, harbors strong admiration toward Evangeline, and distaste for Touta, both of which at times causes her to shed her poker face. Since he entered UQ Holder, she has found different changes to either berate or hit Touta for several reasons, most of which were well-deserved in different situations, most of them all being either perverse or dumb comments, as well as once being happy to hear that she was leaving "home". Aside from Touta, Karin can be strict around the other UQ Holder members, more so towards their newer ones, often giving out harsh, but honest comments. It was shown when talking to Kuroumaru's decision of becoming a man or woman after reaching sixteen, giving accurate answers about his great skills, but no inner strength to be one of Touta's friends and comrades. Karin is also shown to have a strong detest for perverts, Touta, whose moments are more accidental; and Xingzi Chao, who kept groping her and attempted to make Karin, his. Despite this, Karin does have a softer side around some people such as around an orphaned child who had been worried about her due to the nature of her immortality, showing a gentle smile to reassure her. A second time was when she showed regret about Sayoko's fate, as if she found her eight years prior, when she could've prevented her mind from deteriorating to that extent. The most notable of these moments was Karin explaining to Touta that no matter what happens Evangeline would never be forgiven about her crimes extending over six centuries since she was turned into an immortal. She stated several times that she hates herself, her immortality (referring to it as a curse rather than because of love), as well as what she did to become immortal; which was betraying the first person she admired in the past to the point of wanting to commit suicide. All this resulting in Karin's current mindset even after encountering the second person she had grown to admire, believing that she couldn't be forgiven and couldn't forgive herself. But, due to all the moments where he has proven himself, her hatred for Touta has started dimming down to the point of considering him a friend and comrade, sometimes even wondering if she has feelings for him. However, after sharing her past with Touta and forming a pactio with him, Karin has grown more closer to him. After being all alone in space for 45 years, Karin became emotionally tormented about the loneliness, thinking about Touta; then breaking down into tears after seeing him appear in front of her, then admitting that she fell in love with him a long time ago and becoming more intimate in space.
