Kathyln Glayder

Kathyln Glayder is the Princess of Sapin, the kingdom mostly inhabited by humans. She is the daughter of Blaine Glayder and Priscilla Glayder. She first meets Arthur Leywin at Helstea's auction house and later again at Xyrus Academy. She is depicted as a genius but she has trouble showing emotions. After talking to Arthur about showing emotions, she becomes close to Arthur. Kathyln has a petite, doll-like appearance, with porcelain, white skin, big dark eyes, thick lashes, black hair, and small lips. She has a delicate, small stature that would make one want to protect. During her stay in Xyrus Academy, she wears a military-style uniform similar to her brother's, except for the skirts she wears. She wears a dimension ring on her pinky. She also wears a phoenix wyrm pendant around her neck. During her training with Arthur, she wears a tight-fitting training robe. Kathyln usually has a stoic expression, rarely showing any emotions. As a young princess, people approach her with an ulterior motive of making connections because of her royalty status. She feels that she has to not show any weaknesses in front of others, so she hides her feelings and thoughts behind her cold expression. Despite her emotionless face, her facade often breaks when she is around Arthur. She even shows a worried expression when Arthur is heavily injured or a furious face when Arthur has been treated unfairly. Kathyln is shy and pessimistic. Despite all the praises of her talent, she often doubts herself. Kathyln holds great admiration towards Arthur for being talented as well as having a sociable and confident attitude. Kathyln also feels apologetic for all the troubles her family has caused Arthur. Her admiration later grows into infatuation as she feels flustered when being around or thinking about Arthur. Kathyln believes that Arthur's smile can light up the world. She once daydreams about heroically saving Arthur from danger, hoping to get his appreciation. Most of the time, she dismisses her thoughts knowing that Arthur already has Tessia. Kathyln cares for the people around her, especially her friends. She feels strongly against discrimination against the other races. When the Tri-Union Hall, a symbol of the unification of the three races, is attacked by radical members consisting of racist human students at Xyrus Academy, Kathyln almost tears up and feels the need to apologize as the princess of the human kingdom. Kathyln wants to be more independent from her family. She sometimes passively protest against her parents' and her brother's overbearing protectiveness towards her. She envies her brother, who is permitted to leave the castle to go to Lanceler Academy. She hopes that by being Arthur's sparring partner, she can show her parents that she is strong enough to contribute more to the war.
