Kazu is one of Satoru Fujinuma's primary school classmates and friend. Although Kazu did not play a role in saving Kayo Hinazuki, he did play a part in saving Aya Nakanishi. They first met when Satoru Fujinuma, Kenya Kobayashi and Hiromi Sugita were trying to impress Aya.
