Kei

Kei is one of the main characters of the Akira manga and anime franchise.In both she is a member of the Resistance. In the manga she works closely with Chiyoko, a physically strong and resilient resistance fighter dubbed her aunt. At first she is close to Ryu, but she breaks with him and, in time, she begins, with the blessing of Chiyoko, a romantic relationship with Kaneda. She closely works with the psychics as their conduit towards causing the two explosions of Akira and Tetsuo, which cause them and the psychics to disappear. After that she stays with Kaneda and the others.
