Kija Husbando

Kija is the current Hakuryuu (White Dragon in english), one of the four Dragon Warriors and he possesses the blood of the white dragon deity. His power lies within his right arm. After Yoon, he is the second person and first dragon to join Yona and Hak on their journey. Born and raised in a village deeply hidden in the woods in which carries the bloodline of the White Dragon; Kija was the protector and tribe leader. Ever since he was born his village taught him to serve and be completely obedient to the next reincarnation of King Hiryuu forever who is said to be his master. However, Kija grew up being isolated from the outside world and was treated like a God to his people. Once Yona arrives in his village and is confirmed as the red dragon king, Kija happily joins her on the quest to search for the other dragon warriors. At first Kija didn't get along with Hak due to their clash of different personalities and the fact that Kija believed that only dragon warriors are suppose to protect Yona. As time went on he and Hak developed a mutual respect for each other and friendship. Kija is a young man with fair skin and blue eyes, he's tall. His silver hair hangs further than his neck with a portion of the back being much longer and falling past shoulders; he has a long fringe which hangs mostly over the right side of his face. Yona, Kija's grandmother, and Jae-Ha have all described him as being very handsome, and Kija has attracted the eyes of many females as his group passes from town to town on their journey. For attire, Kija wears a long white robe with blue patterned hemlines and cuffs over plain white pants. This is held together with a dark blue sash and accompanied by a light cape. Over the top of this, Kija dons another white and blue cloak with a high collar. On his feet are a pair of simple brown slacks. Kija apparently owns many copies of this outfit. Kija also possesses four long scars in the middle of his back, which where inflicted on him by the previous Hakuryuu, his father. Despite the look of the scars, Kija is not shy about having people see them; rather, he wears the scars openly as a sign of the passion the dragon deities have for wanting to serve their master. Most noticeably, Kija's right hand takes the form of a dragon's claw covered in white scales, due to the dragon's blood within his body. At will, Kija can alter the size of his hand, keeping it normal in proportion to his left hand or growing it to be the same size as his body. To hide his hand from view, Kija often has it wrapped in bandages. However, at times he has showed his dragon hand uncovered. For instance, while in a sauna, he does not hide his hand from others who are coming to use the sauna, as opposed to Jae-Ha who chooses to submerge his dragon leg in water to prevent others from seeing it. Kija has a very headstrong, straightforward and polite personality, mostly due to the way in which he was raised. As he has always known about the legend of the dragon deities and his place within it, he cherishes the power he possesses, the other dragon warriors and Yona, who he perceives to be the return of King Hiryuu; he also strongly believes that those who are the dragon deities should fulfil their duties no matter what. Due to this, he can become quite annoyed by others who do not hold the same reverence as he does, and often scolds the members of his group (particularly the dragon warriors) for being immature or disrespecting their positions - this has been stated by Jae-Ha to be one of his less-likable traits. After meeting Zeno, the fourth dragon warrior, he chastises him for neglecting to train his body, though after Jae-Ha points out that Zeno also has his own life to live, Kija expresses the overwhelming emotions inside of him due to the four dragons being united again. He is a very dedicated and loyal person. His desire to impress and always work to the best of his ability can also cause Kija to become quite competitive, and he is shown to easily become flustered or jealous when somebody else outshines him or pleases others before him. This envy runs particularly strong with Hak, as Kija originally believes that someone not of the dragon deities should not have the honourable position of constantly being by Yona's side, and becomes upset over the idea that someone without his powers could be of more use than he is. Kija's constant want to be helpful makes him incredibly loyal though, and he is always prepared to fight whenever necessary or follow orders without a moments hesitation. He also likes being praised (particularly by Yona) and can become quite embarrassed blushing openly or turning his face to hide his happy reaction. As he was raised being revered and pampered within the Hakuryuu village, Kija can be quite naive about real world matters, and is used to a more indulgent lifestyle. He appreciates being clean, well-fed and well-rested, and is quite put out at times by the odd meals and rugged sleeping places that the group often find themselves eating and being in. He also has an immense fear/hatred for bugs, to the extent that he will forgo sleep and refuse to enter places if he knows or believes that insects are about. He is not past openly complaining about these types of situations, much to the annoyance of some of his friends. Such use to a pampered lifestyle where he was always looked after also makes Kija quite gullible, and he is often seen falling for practical jokes or sarcasm, particularly if Hak is involved. Jae-Ha also sees him as being very pure in nature for this reason. Despite his inexperience, Kija has been shown to put on a brave face in times of doubt, and will always give his all to protect those he loves. Kija is very protective of the ones he considers family; at times of need, when the ones he cares about are in danger, his "serious persona" assumes his body, which makes him rather frightful. He is also willing to use his power to protect those people. During his journey with the others Kija has learned to let go the dragon warrior ideal and learned to accept those outside of it. Although Kija is considered very attractive and even he himself knows this he doesn't really care about his looks. Also when it comes to interacting with the opposite sex Kija gets very shy and nervous around women and doesn't like brothels. This is all due to the fact that in his village his grandmother would pressure him into getting married and that the women in the village harassed him at times. Furthermore, Kija has been shown to be perceptive at times. When Shin-ah was possessed by the spirit of his ancestor, Kija was the first to notice that something was amiss, and the first to suspect that Shin-ah was behaving strangely. He deduced that from the fact that Shin-ah appeared to have forgotten about Ao, his close friend. Additionally, while staying at the Hiryuu Castle with his friends, he came up with a plan to undermine Soo-Won by first inviting a large crowd to watch him "practise" with the soldiers at the castle. However, he refused to attack using his Dragon's Claw and when questioned why, announced to the public that the Four Dragons follow only King Hiryuu, or in this case Yona, thus solidifying and pledging their loyalty to the Princess while subverting the King. When he found out that Zeno was the original Ouryuu that served King Hiryuu, he said that it was always his dream to meet them, but now that one of them is standing in front of him, he had no idea what to say or how to react to it. He then proceeds realizing how blessed was him unlike the rest of the dragons. Zeno then laughed and said that he reminds him of the Original Hakuryuu. As both of them holds some similarities and are reckless like a wild boar.
