King of Midland

The King of Midland was the previous ruler of Midland. Despite a relatively prominent and recurring role in the Golden Age Arc, his actual name was never mentioned. He was a tall man with long brown hair and facial features. In the manga, his hair whitened and his body became emaciated a year after he had Griffith imprisoned. Initially, the King was largely seen as a fair, wise, and generous man, allowing the Band of the Falcon into the ranks of the nobility, and rewarding them generously for their assistance against Tudor.
