Luna

Luna is a fictional character in the Sailor Moon media franchise. She is a black cat who has the ability to talk, and serves as a mentoring figure for the titular character and her companions, the Sailor Guardians. Luna has the ability to perform a midair somersault to summon items for the Sailor Senshi (such as their Transformation Pens, Ami's supercomputer, and Usagi's Disguise Pen, as well as the Moon Stick.) Luna also has sentience as well as the ability to speak, which she must frequently hide to assume the identity of a normal cat. Luna is also very agile, able to jump quite high, and can use her claws to scratch enemies and cause damage, although this is usually minimal. In her human form, Luna is a young woman with curly, long black hair which reaches her waist. Her forehead bears the same yellow crescent moon that she wears as a cat, and which are also featured on her earrings. A yellow ribbon is tied into a bow around her neck as well as crescent moon necklace. She also has an anklet of the same design above her foot. She wears an elegant, flowing gown which is yellow and black and is shorter in the front than in the back. Her eyes are aqua blue, and she appears to retain her cat-like features. In the manga, Sailor Tin Nyanko says that Luna, Artemis and Diana are creatures of the planet Mau.
