Makoto is a researcher investigating the Bubble phenomenon in Tokyo. She lives with the Blue Blazes battlekour team, acting as their supervisor and caretaker alongside Shin. As a scientist, she takes a particular interest in Uta, eventually forming a sort of sisterly bond with the mysterious girl and helping her realize her true feelings for Hibiki. While headstrong and a bit stubborn, Makoto cares for the team and seems to harbor unrequited feelings for Shin and Hibiki.
