Maya Yokoo

Maya is a third-year student on the Machido High kendo team. Maya is a tall and strong girl who is aggressive both in attitude and in kendo. Due to her loud and abrasive nature, Kenzaburō Ishibashi has told her to avoid making her opponents cry. When her teammates aren’t taking kendo seriously she will call them “twits” and “dumbasses,” though this is her way of encouragement. If someone insults her teammates she won’t hesitate to defend them. She loves a great challenge and gets fired up when against a strong opponent.
