Mew (ミウ) is a Japanese VOCALOID developed by Yamaha Music Communications Co., Ltd. and distributed by the YAMAHA Corporation, and was released in October 2011 for the VOCALOID3 engine. Her voice is provided by Japanese female singer Miu Sakamoto (坂本美雨; Sakamoto Miu) Her name is based on her voice provider's name, Japanese singer, Miu Sakamoto, and an onomatopoeia for the sound a kitten makes.
