Michelle traveled to Japan to participate in the Japan Cup, being one of two American representatives, the other being Obey Your Master. During the race, Michelle got into a standoff with Oguri Cap and managed to exhaust and force the latter to the back of the pack through repeated collisions, the Japanese Umamusume being unfamiliar with the aggression of foreign racers.
