Soviet Secret Police Chief Directorate, she shows no mercy to anyone opposing Communism. She used to be Mirja's and Katherine's teacher. Both of them being orphans, they considered the kind-hearted Goepe as the mother they never had. Mir Goepe also happens to be the reason behind Katherine's faith in Communism.
