The Fusil Porfirio Diaz Sistema Mondragón Model 1908, referred to simply as the Mondragón M1908, is a gas-operated self-loading rifle originally designed by Manuel Mondragón, a general in the Mexican Army. The most unique feature of the rifle was the ability to switch the rifle between semi-automatic and bolt action operation, which was cutting-edge for an infantry rifle designed at the turn of the 20th century.
