Nemu Fujimi

Nemu Fujimi is a middle school student at Yotsuba University Affiliated Junior High School, a classmate of Mahiro Oyama, and friends with Nodoka Fushimi and Aoi Tachikawa. She sits at the desk in front of Mahiro's and is almost always seen sleeping through her lessons. She appears to suffer from some kind of sleep disorder, possibly narcolepsy, which causes her to fall asleep during her lessons and even during her final exams. Despite this, she is not a heavy sleeper as she was easily woken up when Mahiro Oyama bumped the back of her chair so she wouldn't sleep through the rest of the test. Her actual academic performance is unknown, as well as how her sleeping affects it. It is entirely possible that she is simply bored by her lessons which contributes to her sleeping, though this is unconfirmed. She is resourceful though, as she is smart enough to bring a cardigan with her in the event that it becomes too cold. During the rare moments when she is seen awake, she is shown to be very quiet and rarely talks to anyone. It is unclear who her friends are, though she appears to be close with Nodoka and Aoi. Nodoka was seen watching her in the locker room during gym class. Nodoka and Aoi were also seen giving chocolate to Nemu on Valentine's Day. She also appeared grateful that Mahiro woke her up during their final exams. Asahi Ōka tried to befriend her in grade school to no avail.
