Obaba Tamura

Obaba is an old chainsmoking woman who acts as Peco's mentor. She also owns the local table tennis dojo of which Peco and Smile are frequent visitors. She used to be an table tennis player herself, being friends with Butterfly Joe, but no longer plays due to a bad knee. She cares deeply for Peco and is essential in his improvement as a person and player.
