Description

Octavia is a companion in Pathfinder: Kingmaker. A chaotic good Half-Elf trained to be a wizard who is also a self-trained rogue. She was formerly a slave of Numeria's Technic League, a past she shares with her friend Regongar, who she has been with for most of her life in bondage. She follows the goddess Calistria. Octavia was sold to the Technic League as a young child. She has few memories of the time before her enslavement, most vividly remembering the color of her mother's dress and that her mother was crying when selling her. As a slave of the Technic League she was trained as a wizard and taught a variety of utility spells to allow her to perform useful tasks- a unique skillset which was responsible for her masters' unwillingness to kill or permanently harm her when she acted out of line. As an expression of resistance, Octavia would pretend to be stupid and unable to learn what her masters attempted to teach her, frustrating their attempts to impose their will on her. She was frequently sold to new masters when her old master became too frustrated with her behavior to continue tolerating her. At some point during her enslavement, she met Regongar and became close to him. Regongar shared her dreams of freedom and intense will to resist the Technic League slave masters. Along with Regongar, she attempted many time to escape Numeria and reach the River Kingdoms, where slavery is illegal. Some attempts were quickly cut short, but other times they managed to evade pursuers for months and came very close to reaching sanctuary. Shortly before the events of the game, she and Regongar were brought to the Stolen Lands by a group of Technic League agents serving her then-current master, Maestro Janush.
