Painwheel was once a sweet, caring school girl named Carol before she was kidnapped and transformed into the monster that she is now by Valentine and Brain Drain. Before being implanted with the Buer Drive and Gae Bolga parasites, Carol was just a normal girl that enjoyed gardening, walking on the beach, and spending time with her friends (such as Filia) and family. However once kidnapped and transformed into the rage-filled Painwheel, she became mentally controlled by her creator, Brain Drain and sent to destroy the Skull Heart.
