Pauline Asama

Pauline is a major character in The House in Fata Morgana and the protagonist of Chapter 2. She is the daughter of a trader, who fell in love with a foreign merchant. She and her beloved are lucky to see each other more than once a year, but the bonds between them are unbreakable. Though separated by the vast seas, their relationship lives on. Pauline is kind hearted, genuinely gentle and caring. She doesn't have a malicious side to her, but she can be very stubborn and dismissive of anything that conflicts with what she believes. These moments showcase her devotion and tendency to cling to hope even when others try to reason with her.
