Penny is the deuteragonist of Disney's 1977 animated feature film The Rescuers. She serves as the representation that anyone's dreams can come true if one has enough faith. Penny is a cute, kind, sweet, shy little girl, but also rather brave, gutsy and defiant, especially when she stands up to Medusa's crocodiles and eventually to Medusa while held at gunpoint at the time.
