He is the former president of Kibou Company and Minato's father. In order to test whether Minato could run the company as president, he purposely donated his equipment, such as weapons and spellbooks, to the museum. He went to investigate the large gate and has been missing ever since, but the Goddess discovered that he was alive beyond the large gate.
