Aurora Sya Lis Goodereste

Princess Syalis is the protagonist of the Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle manga. Her full name is Aurora Sya Lis Goodereste and she is the princess of the Unified Human Nation of Goodereste. She was kidnapped by the Demon King to make the kingdom fear him and to lure Dawner the Hero to fight him so they could end the war between humans and demons. She has been at the Demon King Castle for four years as of the manga. Syalis is a petite and slender girl with white-light purple hair that is tied into four sections with purple ribbons at the bottom. Syalis desperately tries to hide the secret that she has a short tongue. She has purple eyes with star-shaped pupils, which is the mark that represents the Royal Family. On her head, she wears a yellow headband in the shape of a crown with a dark pink ribbon laced around. In the anime, she wears a pink robe decorated with purple accents and green dots. Around the hem of her sleeve and the bottom of her robes, there are white frills. She wears a dark pink ribbon around her waist and has purple ribbons around her arms as well. Underneath, she wears a purple and white dress with the inside colored navy. Beneath the ribbon around her waist, there are two white fluff balls. Dawner the Hero equipped bombs hidden inside her white fluff balls, which she continues to wear, despite her love of him. In the manga, she wears the same thing but the pink robe has white polka dots and there are frills around the purple ribbons on her arms as well as the top of the purple section. The insides of her dress resemble a starry night with constellations. She wears purple bear-shaped stockings and pink shoes with a white fluff ball on top of a dark pink bow. In Sleepy Princess Burst, she wears a short sleeve pink dress with red and yellow pants. Even, purple and pink socks along with pink and purple boots. Down to the base of her personality, Syalis is a total sleepyhead who has the capacity to fall asleep anywhere and everywhere within a few seconds, though there are exceptions. Syalis is very goal-orientated and stops at nothing to get what she wants, even going so far as to sacrifice her life for a good night's sleep knowing that she can be revived by the Demon Cleric, leave her cell, and confront the monsters in the Demon King Castle to find the perfect material to maximize the comforts of her sleep (although, leaving her cell and confronting the monsters is more a daily routine for her than anything else). She is rather uncaring of the occupants of the Demon King Castle, stealing and slaughtering anything that could aid her quest of a good night's rest. Her quest for good sleep causes her to unnecessarily seek out things to ridiculous extremes, even if it means putting her life on the line. Syalis is not afraid of death and jumps into dangerous situations if it piqued her interest, which the monsters of the castle have to prevent her from doing so less she dies. She once said that quick deaths aren't painful, so she isn't afraid of dying. Syalis slowly grows close to the monsters in the castle and ends up befriending them despite her destructiveness. She cares for the monsters and is willing to help them with their issues since good deeds make her feel good and she sleeps better because of it. Though her actions in whole have them question her sanity, given she has had ample chances to just escape back to Goodereste and her helping them despite technically being their captive. Syalis is bad at communicating her thoughts when she needs to be specific, largely due to her having bad timing at remembering proper edict she was scolding for not using; such as when she wanted to try pressure point stimulation to help her sleep. She has a surprisingly pure personality, to the point she can go to a man's bed without feeling embarrassed. When she has to work, Syalis' personality takes a 180-turn and she becomes a very serious person with strong work ethics. She can easily finish a month's worth of work in a day on her own because, back in her kingdom, she was not allowed to sleep until she finished everything on the day's agenda.
