Raphtalia's mother is a political refugee of the isolationist country Q'ten Lo. She sacrificed her life with her husband to save Raphtalia. Not much description has been given to Raphtalia's mother's appearance but she is a Racoon demi-human. Sadeena describes Raphtalia's mother as smart, kind, and hard-working. From how she sacrificed herself to save Raphtalia, it was shown that she deeply loves her family.
