Rayne is the main protagonist of the BloodRayne franchise. She is the daughter of the vampire Kagan and an unnamed human woman, making her a dhampir. She was an agent of the Brimstone Society, a secret fraternity who works to protect humanity from all supernatural evil, under the agent code name: BloodRayne.
